Community Health Profiles for England - Association of Public Health Observatories (APHO), UK
"Health Profiles provide a snapshot of health for each local council in England using key health indicators, which enables comparison locally, regionally and over time. We leveraged the power of Instant Atlas Server to display this complex data in an intuitive visual interface which would be equally useable by analysts, public health professionals and the public alike. Geowise could not have been more professional or cooperative in helping us achieve our vision on time and on budget."Gary Bates, Senior Applications Developer, South West Public Health Observatory
Atlas of Deprivation - Bournemouth Borough Council
"The Performance Profile template has proved its usefulness in the presentation of this complex dataset. There are eight indicators available for each Lower Layer Super Output Area (LSOA). For each indicator, there is also comparison available with the previous release of the same dataset (2004). The performance profile has proved flexible enough to display the rank and score of all indicators for 2007, the rank of the corresponding indicator for 2004 (as a "target bar") and eye-catching symbols to highlight areas that have changed by "one" or "two or more" quintiles (in terms of national rank) from 2004 to 2007."Adam Park, Research & Intelligence

"InstantAtlas is an excellent tool for presenting county-level data in a very concise way with options for interactive analysis. The County Profile contains the key indicators needed to quickly assess the overall health situation in each county. InstantAtlas enables the user to see indicator values for individual counties as well as make county-to-county comparisons and to the state averages. Newham Information System (NIMS) - London Borough of Newham
This atlas was prepared for the Neighbourhood Information Management System (NIMS) Team of London Borough of Newham to present nationally ranked scores of multiple deprivation at small area level. The report uses our Performance Profile template which is ideal for presenting data of this kind - nationally consistent ranks of multiple domains related to deprivation. The bars of the bullet graph (top right) illustrate how varied the cross-domain profile of deprivation can be at a neighbourhood scale. The background grey bars indicate how areas rank nationally in terms of fifths (quintiles) with bars overlapping the darkest grey sections being classed in the 20% most deprived of all areas nationally.South Yorkshire Police Neighbourhood Information System - South Yorkshire Police
Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA) Tool - South West Public Health Observatory (SWPHO)
The Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA) tool aims to help primary care trusts and local authorities jointly identify their areas of need. The Area Profile Template was chosen as there are a large number of indicators to be shown, and trend data is not widely available. In addition, the ability to compare neighbouring areas and select statistically similar areas using the filter option are very useful. Since its launch the JSNA tool has become one of the most viewed pages on the South West Public Health Observatory (SWPHO) website.
