Community Health Profiles for England - Association of Public Health Observatories (APHO), UK

Community Health Profiles for England"Health Profiles provide a snapshot of health for each local council in England using key health indicators, which enables comparison locally, regionally and over time. We leveraged the power of Instant Atlas Server to display this complex data in an intuitive visual interface which would be equally useable by analysts, public health professionals and the public alike. Geowise could not have been more professional or cooperative in helping us achieve our vision on time and on budget."

Gary Bates, Senior Applications Developer, South West Public Health Observatory

Child and Maternity Health Observatory (ChiMat) - Yorkshire & Humberside Public Health Observatory (YHPHO)

Child and Maternity Health Observatory (ChiMat)InstantAtlas Server provided the ChiMat team with an adaptable solution for managing and presenting quantitative data that was inexpensive and quick to implement. We were able to purchase the software and go live within three months. It was easy for our web designer to brand the InstantAtlas Server mini-site to match the ChiMat site. The highly interactive atlases delivered through the Data Views module are more engaging than static images. They allow users to explore our data and provide answers leaving our team to focus on more complex queries. The needs assessment modules we have produced through the Profile Reports module will make individuals within PCTs more productive by reducing the time it takes to produce needs assessments with local data.

Kate Canning, Head of ChiMat/Senior Health Intelligence Specialist, Child and Maternal Health Observatory (ChiMat)

Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA) Tool - South West Public Health Observatory (SWPHO)

Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA) ToolThe Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA) tool aims to help primary care trusts and local authorities jointly identify their areas of need. The Area Profile Template was chosen as there are a large number of indicators to be shown, and trend data is not widely available. In addition, the ability to compare neighbouring areas and select statistically similar areas using the filter option are very useful. Since its launch the JSNA tool has become one of the most viewed pages on the South West Public Health Observatory (SWPHO) website.
