Upgrade Instructions

!!Please Note!! InstantAtlas Desktop Edition 6.0.0 only includes the v6 Single Map template. This can only be published in English. Please read the release notes for IAD 6.0.0 by clicking here.

IAD 6.1.0 will be released June/July 2009 and will include the other v6 templates (Double Map, Double Map Timeseries, Area Profile/Radar and Performance Analysis) along with an improved Single Map template. Support for publishing in other languages will also be added.

Upgrading from InstantAtlas Desktop 5.x

Simply double click on the IAD 6 installer file (.exe) you have downloaded. Choose a language for the installation. The standard installation is recommended for most users. The advanced installation simply allows you to install additional language packs. These only apply to the Publish/Designer/Style Editor tools - they do not enable you to publish InstantAtlas reports in languages other than English.

Excel Data Manager Add-In

IAD 6.0.0 installs a v6 Excel Data Manager add-in. It will not remove your v5 Excel Data Manager add-in. If you wish to create XML data files for v6 reports use the v6 Excel Data Manager add-in. If you wish to create XML data files for v5 reports use the v5 Excel Data Manager add-in. Please refer to the Excel Data Manager user guide that comes with IAD 6.0.0 for more information.
